38 Project

This project started on my 38th birthday in June of 2007 as a reponse to the increasingly outrageous art market prices.
I created a work and sold it every week on a blog for 38 euros or dollars (depending on the location of the buyer). Every Thursday between 5 and 6 pm local Berlin time, I posted the work on the blog : www.38-avg.blogspot.com and the first person to email me got the work.
The idea that I was circumventing the beaucracy of a dealer in addition that theoretically anyone could buy the work, became an intregal and important part of the project.
