They are what they seem. started as a "stretching" exercise in my studio - whenever I got stuck I made one. I made myself laugh, loosen up and just feel "better" about what I was up to. After the 40th one, I started to think that maybe they were more than a stretch.

In November 2007 I exhibited 50 of them in Frankfurt am Main in a group exhibition at Atelier Frankfurt. The project has grown and currently I am looking to put them into a book format.

Many people ask if I use my own family photos - the answer to that question would be no. Secondly the question about where the text comes from follows - the answer is that it comes from experiences I have had - both real and made - up.*
